According to the President, Georgia's Ambassador to the US, Archil Gegeshidze is not qualified enough for the job and his comments about the pro-Russian forces in Georgia are demonstration of incompetence. The statement was made by the Press-Speaker of the President, Eka Mishveladze at the briefing.
"According to the president it was an incompetent comment from an unqualified ambassador. President thinks, incompetence was at many occasions demonstrated by Archil Gegeshidze," - commented Mishveladze.
Archil Gegeshidze, in an interview with Netgazeti argued that the presence of the pro-Russian forces in the government is a demonstration of pluralism.
"The presence of the [pro-Russian political forces] in the [government] is understandable. It demonstrates that there is a pluralistic approach. However they do not have a say in decision making. It's one issue when propaganda is inspirited from the outside, and it's another one when within the country they are trying to demonstrate that Georgia's pro-Western vector is not bringing any real benefits," - Gegeshidze claimed.
