Following the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, in accordance with the Georgia's Law on State Property, Paragraph 3 of the Article 18, a plot of land on Davit Agmashenebeli street #60 together with the buildings on the plot (749.07 square meters in total) will be transferred to the possession of the Georgian Orthodox Church for a symbolic price of GEL 1. The relevant order was published on the website of the Georgian government on 23 April.

The territory of the church at the former Mikhailov hospital was handed to the Patriarchate on privatization conditions. In particular, in three months' term the Georgian Orthodox Church should sign an agreement with the Ministry of Culture. The agreement should ensure that buildings will be protected from damage and that their historical and cultural values will also be protected.
