Parliament Speaker meets NATO Parliamentary Assembly President


Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Speaker, Daivt Usupashvili met the NATO Parliamentary Assembly President, Hugh Bayley on 25 July in Tbilisi. Usupashvili said the sides discussed the upcoming NATO summit. "We have a mutual understanding that an important decision should be made at the summit, which will strengthen Georgia's security and strengthen positions of NATO – of the defender of peace and stability in our region and not only," the Parliament Speaker said after the meeting.

The members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation are due to meet Foreign Minister of Georgia, Maia Panjikidze, as well as the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Defence Minister, Irakli Alasania and the President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili.
