Saakashvili: Georgian Elections Had Nothing to Do With My Decision

The people have been deceived for a second time in Ukraine: there have been two revolutions but no revolutionary changes. The political classes remain the same, which has lead to Ukraine being the poorest country in Europe. The people are angry. In such conditions, it would be very irresponsible of me to stay in the Ukrainian government. . . I was planning to leave in April. We had gathered a team and were preparing to leave when poroshenko asked us to stay, promising he would help us carry out our reforms. So we gave him some time. But my decision did not have any connection to the Georgian elections. I am a Ukrainian politician - there are no other factors in play here.
