Georgian weightlifter wins gold in Rio and sets new world record

Georgian weightlifter, Lasha Talakhadze (22 years old) won Gold Medal at Rio Olympics and set new world record in the over 105 kilogram men's weightlifting division. Gor Minasyan of Armenia earned silver and Irakli Turmanidze (Georgia) won the bronze.
Talakhadze lifted 215 kilos on the snatch and 258 on the clean and jerk, setting new record of total 473 kilos.
Georgia has so far earned one gold, one silver and three bronze medals at the Rio Olympics.
